The Cardinals held their last open training-camp practice Saturday, and after Sunday's closed session, Kliff Kingsbury will break his first camp as an NFL coach. There's not quite a sense of closure yet. There are still three weeks left in the preseason, and still a lot to be determined for the Cardinals.
The roster cuts will come eventually, but right now, Kingsbury is preoccupied with planning for playing time this upcoming Saturday against the Vikings. He wants to balance giving starters the reps they need without overextending, and the two most notable cases are rookie quarterback Kyler Murray and veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson.
