Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter, the Arizona Cardinals will be acquiring Steelers right tackle Marcus Gilbert for the low price of just one late sixth-round pick, a steal in my book.
Gilbert has been a mainstay for the Steelers offensive line since 2011, but the team will be parting ways with him presumably due to his age (31), and extensive injury history (missed 20 games last two seasons).
However, when healthy, Gilbert is one of the better right tackles in the NFL. In 2016, Gilbert played in 13 games for the Steelers and finished the year with an elite Pro Football Focus grade of 87.
