With the Arizona Cardinals signing Charles Clay yesterday, their third veteran signing in this offseason before the free agency period has even began, it tells us something.
The Arizona Cardinals are trying to stay competitive, but not putting any position as locked in.
They signed Robert Alford to a three-year deal, but that was more out of necessity of having a competent body at the cornerback position than anything else. Alford allows the Cardinals to continue to shop for corners, but doesn’t make it a glaring hole like it has been for the last six offseasons.
