The Cardinals on Friday signed rookie running back Sherman Badie and waived fullback Austin Ramesh.
Badie, a 5-foot-11, 194-pound free agent, appeared in 44 games (26 starts) during his college career at Tulane and rushed for 1,517 yards and nine touchdowns on 296 carries.
At his pro day April 3, Badie ran his 40-yard dashes in the 4.4 range in front of representatives from more than 25 NFL teams, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
"I just wanted to show that I'm very versatile," Badie told the Times-Picayune. "I can catch, I can run, I can move very well.
