The Cardinals signed a punter and a receiver to contracts for 2017, the team announced on Thursday.
Richie Leone spent the past two seasons with the British Columbia Lions, averaging 49.4 yards per kick with a 39.1 net average. He made the Canadian Football League’s all-star team twice.
He also was the team's place-kicker but struggled in that area.
The Lions recently released him from his contract so he could pursue NFL opportunities.
Leone played at the University of Houston and has been with the Ravens and Steelers but failed to make the teams coming out of training camp.
