The Cardinals have signed linebacker Gerald Hodges after waiving linebacker Jeremy Cash.
Cash injured his knee in the Cardinals' preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers Saturday and was carted off the field. He had previously returned a fumble for a touchdown in the same quarter.
Hodges is a five-year NFL vet, who has played with the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings. The 27-year-old entered the league as a fourth-round pick to the Vikings in 2013 out of Penn State.
Hodges (6-2, 236) has 213 tackles (154 solo), 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in his career.
