The Arizona Cardinals made a small move on Monday, this time with a former player they are familiar with who can help with some beef up front.
The team announced on Monday they have signed Xavier Williams to a one-year contract.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed defensive lineman Xavier Williams (ex-ZAVE-yer) to a one-year contract and has released linebacker Shareef Miller. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.
Williams (6-2, 309) returns to the Cardinals after playing 23 games (two starts) in three seasons (2015-17) with the team after entering the league as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2015 from Northern Iowa.
