The A Cardinals announced they have signed defensive lineman Xavier Williams to a one-year contract and have released linebacker Shareef Miller.
Williams, 29, returns to the Cardinals after playing 23 games in three seasons with the team (2015-17) after entering the league as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Northern Iowa. He spent two seasons with the Chiefs (2018-19) before playing for both the Patriots and Bengals last season.
He has 107 tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 56 career games (nine starts).
Williams, 6-2, 309, is expected to be at the team’s Tempe training facility on Tuesday for the start of the Cardinals’ three-day mandatory mini-camp.
