Steve Keim, the general manager of the Arizona Cardinals, has not had a great track record with first-round draft selections. Since 2013, not one of the executive’s top picks have remained with the club beyond their rookie deals. Fortunately for the Cards, that incredibly ugly streak may finally be coming to an end.
According to reports, the Cardinals front office is discussing a contract extension for beleagured left tackle D.J. Humphries. Up until this season, the 24th-overall choice of the 2015 draft has been mostly a disappointment. Various injuries, along with some uninspired play, have prevented the erratic Humphries from fulfilling the potential that many experts believed he possessed.
