Arizona Cardinals rookie linebacker Zaven Collins was arrested in Scottsdale Sunday for excessive speed and reckless driving, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
Around 10 a.m., officers observed Collins in his Mercedes going 76 mph in a 35-mph zone, police said.
After stopping Collins, police arrested him for the violations, police said.
Collins was booked and released later Sunday, according to police.
The Cardinals selected Collins, 22, with the 16th overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Tulsa player was an All-American selection and the AAC Defensive Player of the Year last season after totaling 54 tackles, 11.
