azcentral sports' Kent Somers breaks down what we learned in the Cardinals' 38-19 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
The loss dropped the Cardinals to 4-6-1, two games behind 6-4-1 Washington for the final playoff spot.
Offense
The performance was similar to that of last week's in Minnesota: an impressive first half and a dismal second. The Cardinals ran effectively in the first half, and Carson Palmer was well-protected and sharp. Then the Cardinals started inflicting wounds upon themselves. A holding call on center A.Q. Shipley negated an 11-yard run by running back Kerwynn Williams, who took the snap from the wildcat formation.
