The Cardinals released quarterbacks Brandon Doughty and Alek Torgersen, the team announced on Monday.
The Cardinals claimed both quarterbacks off waivers on April 5. From the beginning, they were longshots to make the team, and their odds became worse when the team drafted quarterback Josh Rosen with the 10th overall pick.
The Cardinals now have four quarterbacks on the roster: Sam Bradford, Mike Glennon, Rosen and Chad Kanoff, a rookie free agent from Princeton.
