The joke used to be the Arizona Cardinals were Pittsburgh Steelers west. They would sign or at least look at whatever former Steelers players they could.
That is no longer the case. The team replacing them is the Atlanta Falcons. The Cardinals got two of them quickly once they were released by the Falcons in February.
Cornerback Robert Alford and linebacker Brooks Reed were quickly swiped up off waivers by the Cardinals within days of being released. Both were very good pickups.
We know Alford will be a starter, especially given the status of Patrick Peterson.
