Arizona Cardinals hoping meeting with cornerback bears fruit

The Arizona Cardinals could only fool themselves for so long. It appears that general manager Steve Keim is finally acknowledging that there’s a problem at the cornerback position. Its better late than never.

The Cardinals are scheduled to meet with cornerback Brandon Flowers on Wednesday. The team has a glaring hole at the corner spot opposite Patrick Peterson in their secondary, and are looking to find a remedy. Justin Bethel, the current starter, has been praised by head coach Bruce Arians, but now seems to be losing his grip on the job.

Flowers spent his first six seasons in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, after they selected him during the second round of the 2008 Draft.
