Arizona Cardinals hire Tom Clements as passing game coordinator, quarterbacks coach

Two weeks after hiring a new head coach, the Cardinals finally have an offensive coordinator to join him as the team plans to introduce longtime NFL assistant Tom Clements as the newest member of Kliff Kingsbury’s coaching staff, The Republic has learned.

Clements, 65, will serve as both Kingsbury’s primary assistant on the offensive side of the ball while also acting as the Cardinals’ quarterbacks coach, working directly with starter Josh Rosen and his backups, and passing game coordinator. Kingsbury will be the primary playcaller on offense, but Clements will assist heavily in game plans and act as a sort of bench coach for Kingsbury during games.
