The Arizona Cardinals announced on Monday morning that they have fired head coach Steve Wilks after just one season, a dismal 3-13 campaign that tied the mark for fewest wins in the franchise's time in Arizona.
Wilks met with his staff Monday morning to tell them he would not be back as head coach.
Steve Keim, meanwhile, will continue his duties as the team’s general manager.
Keim and team President Michael Bidwill are scheduled to hold a news conference at 11 a.m. at the team's Tempe training facility.
Wilks wasn’t immediately available for comment, but recently said this when asked about his tenuous job security: “I walked into this organization with integrity and, whenever that times comes, I am going to walk away with integrity.
