In a move that likely helps both the Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Zac Dysert, he was cut by the team on Friday. The move leaves four quarterbacks on the current roster.
Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton, Blaine Gabbert, and undrafted rookie Trevor Knight are the remaining quarterbacks on the 90-man Cardinals roster. Dysert never really seemed to be in the Cardinals plans.
Dysert came to Arizona last season after getting a tryout from the team and then spent time on the active and practice rosters. He came into the offseason third on the depth chart.
His release shows the Cardinals like what they’ve seen out of Knight so far.
