The Cardinals still had two preseason games left and David Johnson had already had enough of it. The Cardinals’ star running back has been looking toward the big picture and what the 2018 season would mean to him, so the thought of getting some extra carries in the next preseason game against the Cowboys was the furthest thing from his mind.
“Preseason? No. I’m ready for the regular season,” Johnson said.
He wasn’t kidding, either. The Cardinals’ season opener against the visiting Redskins can’t get here fast enough for the guy who missed virtually all of last season because of a fractured left wrist.
