Arizona Cardinals receiver John Brown was listed as doubtful for Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Trait.
The trait, which comes from the genes of just one parent, not both, was discovered as the cause of leg pain Brown has been having for the last couple of seasons. He has not been completely ruled out for the game against the Seahawks.
What it does mean though is there is some uncertainty surrounding his condition. Head coach Bruce Arians did indicate it was possible for Brown to feel fine on Sunday and end up playing, thus an indication why he has not been ruled completely out yet.
