The Cardinals suffered a major blow to their upcoming 2018 season on Monday when it was learned starting center A.Q. Shipley will miss the entire year after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury Saturday during the team’s "Red & White" practice.
Shipley, 32, will undergo surgery and be placed on injured reserve.
Shipley was the only member of the Cardinals’ starting offensive line the past two years who didn’t miss a single game because of injury. The four starters alongside him this season — left tackle D.J. Humphries, left guard Mike Iupati, right guard Justin Pugh and right tackle Andre Smith — all spent time on injured reserve last year.
