When the Cardinals arrive in Seattle on Saturday a day ahead of their final game of the season against the Seahawks, second-year safety Budda Baker will hail a cab, dial up an Uber or Lyft ride and make a solemn solo trip a cemetery not too far away from CenturyLink Field.
“It’ll be the first game playing where my brother is laid down at,” Baker said. “I’m going to go pay my respects and talk to him.”
Baker’s older brother, Robert, was gunned down outside a Seattle-area nightclub last April, shot and killed with a single bullet wound to the chest.
