Running backs coach Stump Mitchell has left the Cardinals coaching staff, prompting a shift in duties for two other of Bruce Arians' offensive assistants.
Freddie Kitchens will switch from quarterbacks coach to running backs coach, and Byron Leftwich, an intern with the team in 2016, will take over for Kitchens in that role.
Kitchens has been with the Cardinals since 2007 and spent the past four years as quarterbacks coach. Leftwich played 10 seasons in the NFL with four teams, including three seasons under Arians with the Steelers. He was drafted in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft, in the same class as Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer.
