There was already a report and an article here about how two tryout players -- QB Phillip Sims and S Brandon Person -- were signed to the offseason roster. The team made those signings official and also announced a third signing of a tryout player.
In addition to Sims and Person, Arizona added safety Harold Jones-Quartey. All three were Division II players in college.
To make room for those three players, receiver Travis Harvey, tackle Kevin Palmer and safety Ross Weaver were released.
Jones-Quartey (5-11, 215) played collegiately at Division II Findlay and was a two-time all-conference selection and honorable mention All-American as a senior.
