When Alfred Morris joined the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the week, it appeared that the club had adequately addressed the injury situation at running back. With David Johnson and D.J. Foster both hobbled, head coach Kliff Kingsbury needed some insurance at the spot. Apparently, the Cards believed that Morris alone would not be enough to remedy the dilemma.
On Wednesday, Arizona’s front office added even more depth to the running back room by signing the rugged Zach Zenner. The decision to bring in not just one but two new ball-carriers to the mix may be an indication that both Johnson and Foster could miss time.
