It’s official. Arizona will host its fourth Super Bowl in 2023.
Team owners approved the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee’s proposal Wednesday morning at NFL meetings in Atlanta. New Orleans was awarded the game in 2024.
This is the first Super Bowls awarded via a new process in which the NFL identified and negotiated with specific host sites rather than using a bidding process that included multiple cities vying for a Super Bowl.
The votes to approve the two Super Bowl bids were unanimous, said Commissioner Roger Goodell.
“Both the Cardinals and Saints put together extraordinary bids,” he said.
