A sputtering offense and defense carried over into the Cardinals' second game of the season, but coach Steve Wilks saw his team's third unit – special teams – regress some on Sunday against the Rams.
"Really for the first week, we saw a little bit of inconsistency in our special teams, who has really been a plus for us throughout the year, the first game and all preseason," Wilks said Monday.
Wilks preached special teams all training camp, even raising some eyebrows when he said all players would be involved. On Sunday, the Cardinals added special teams to a long list of areas they'll need to improve.
