The Cardinals found what they hope will be a long-term solution at inside linebacker, coming to terms with Philadelphia Eagles’ free-agent Jordan Hicks on a four-year deal worth $36 million and includes a $12 million signing bonus and $20 million in guaranteed dollars.

Hicks, 26, can’t officially sign his new deal with the Cardinals until Wednesday. He’ll be joining veteran outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, 36, on Arizona’s new 3-4 base defense. Suggs agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with the team Monday.

Hicks did not immediately return an interview request left on his cell phone.
