Announced by Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals during his postgame speech that veteran quarterback Carson Palmer broke his arm and will need surgery. The number that Arians said for a number of weeks Palmer would miss is eight. Missing eight games is more than likely season-ending for Palmer considering how this is a lost season for the Cardinals.

The real reason for you clicking on this article was to see who are the likely replacements for Palmer.
1.) Ryan Lindley
Lindley is currently playing football for the Ottawa Redblacks. A Canadian football team. Lindley was drafted in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Lindley has a big arm but accuracy was his major issue in the NFL. Now that the Cardinals need depth going to a quarterback who has already been in the offense may be the move Arians makes.
2.) Matt Flynn
Flynn has the arm that Arians looks for when picking out a quarterback. Arians offense requires a quarterback to be able to stretch the field with a strong arm. The Cardinals roster is filled with speedy receivers and then Larry Fitzgerald. Fylnn has shown flashes in the past of being great and I think Arians who is known as the " QB Whisperer" might be able to talk some sense into Flynn.
3.) Jimmy Garoppolo
This offseason a name that was being thrown around for a quarterback to replace Palmer was Garoppolo. Garoppolo is currently the backup quarterback for the Patriots. The Patriots have said before that they want three first-round picks for the young quarterback and now the Cardinals may have to trade for him. With Palmer's career in question will they make this huge trade to find their franchise quarterback.

4.) Brian Hoyer
Hoyer briefly played for the Cardinals in 2012 and has recently been benched on the 49ers. Hoyer is a veteran who has been on what seems like every team and in every offense. If the 49ers are done with him they made trade him to the Cardinals for cheap.
5.) Colin Kaepernick
Anytime a quarterback goes down this season, the name Kaepernick will come up. Arians had plenty of time to watch Kaepernick in his time with the 49ers so maybe the familiarity will give Arians some confidence to sign Kaepernick.
