The Arizona Cardinals are on the lookout for young, athletic players to augment their already stout pass rush, and there’s a good chance they could look to the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft to find one of those pieces.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, former Nebraska Cornhusker defensive end Randy Gregory had a pre-draft visit with Arizona on Sunday - sparking speculation that he could be a top target of the Cards going forward.
The biggest question mark surrounding Gregory is his checkered past when it comes to marijuana violation, including a failed drug test at the recent NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Gregory's draft stock as taken a tumble as a result (per several draft analysts' reports), meaning that he very well could be available with the Cards make their first-round selection at #24.
If so, the Cards may look past Gregory's recent troubles and zero in on the obvious physical gifts that made him one of the most dominant pass rushers in college football during his time in Lincoln.
Stay tuned.
