The Arizona Cardinals are 3-1, coming off their first loss of the season at the hands of the St. Louis Rams. The Detroit Lions are the only winless team in the NFL, after having a win slip through their fingers (literally) against the Seattle Seahawks. Unfortunately for the Lions, they'll drop to 0-5 this weekend. Here are three reasons why the Cardinals will beat the Lions.
Better Defense
The Cardinals defense isn't the best in the NFL, but it's better than a Lions defense that has struggled. The Rams scored 24 on Arizona, but that's the most the Cardinals have given up this year. The Lions have given up at least 24 points in every game but one. With a better defense, the Cardinals will beat the Lions.
Carson Palmer
Palmer has picked up right where he left of when he was injured last season. He's completing 63 percent of his passes with 10 TDs and 3 INTs. He's on pace to throw for over 4,000 yards this season. With Palmer playing so well, the Cardinals aren't losing to the Lions.
Bad Lions Offense
The Lions offense has serious issues. The plays are easy to predict and Tyrann Mathieu believes the Lions don't understand their own offense. The team can't run the ball at all and Matt Stafford hasn't been able to shoulder such a massive burden. The Lions' offense struggles won't be fixed in time for Detroit to beat the Cardinals.
