BOONE, N.C. - A pair of freshmen in Maria José Zacarias and Teodora Sevo will represent Appalachian State women's tennis in the annual Lakewood Ranch Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic.
The duo will represent App State in a stacked tournament that features teams such as Florida, Oklahoma State, Clemson, Illinois, South Florida, Texas, TCU, Virginia Tech, Liberty, Ohio State, Boston College and UCF. Appalachian is one four Group of Five programs to take part in the three-day event held in Bradenton, Fla.
Both Sevo and Zacarias will start off the tournament with tough matches against foes from TCU.
