BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Appalachian State University women’s track and field finished third by one point at the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday totaling 98 points. Texas State won the team title with 166 points and beating out App State for the runner up position was Texas-Arlington (99 points)
Short sprinters Darlene Girardeau and LaBria King had a fantastic showing in Birmingham earning a combined 20 points in the 60 meters and the 200 meters. Girardeau tied her personal record and the second-fastest time in school history of 7.
