TEMPE, Ariz. - For a third straight year, App State women's tennis was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic team, posting an impressive 3.61 GPA for the 2019-20 academic year.
Seven of eight Mountaineers were named 2020 ITA Scholar Athletes, which is the highest number of student-athletes that were honored under head coach Blake Mosley. At least three athletes have been named a scholar the last three years. Also, the 3.61 GPA for the year is .13 points higher than in 2019.
Sandra Anglesjö and María José Zacarias are three-time scholar athletes while Kate Earnhardt and Sasha Pisareava made the list for a second time.
