SAVANNAH, Ga. - Appalachian State University women's tennis (5-3) bounced back with a 7-0 sweep over Savannah State on Thursday morning at Tiger Tennis Courts.
Following a 4-3 loss to UNF on Tuesday, the Mountaineers did another solid job of bouncing back as they are now 3-0 coming off a loss. It's also the first shutout of the season for the Black and Gold.
After surrendering the doubles point in the last two contests, the Apps captured all three doubles contests to take a 1-0 lead into singles.
Kate Earnhardt/Jeannez Daniel downed Christ Turner/Sofia Shut'ko, 6-0, for their first win as a tandem this season.
