BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's tennis (1-1) earned its first win of the season with a convincing 6-1 victory over Western Carolina (0-2) on Sunday afternoon at Deer Valley Racquet Club.
The Mountaineers won two of three doubles matches they needed before capturing five of six singles contests.
Highlighting the day was Kate Earnhardt and Rebecca Morse, as the pair each posted a singles and doubles.
Starting out of the gate was Sandra Anglesjö and Teodora, who won their second match in as many contests as a tandem when they dealt Jacy Smith/Alexa Webb a 6-2 defeat.
