BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's soccer (3-3-1) fell, 1-0, to North Florida (3-3-0) on Thursday evening at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
Appalachian had its chances on Thursday evening with a 6-5 shot on goal advantage against UNF and a 16-11 edge in shot attempts. The lone difference in the game came in the first two minutes where UNF's Thais Reiss sent a shot that just barely went over the goalkeeper's head to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead.
Moments later, Blair Anderes and Molly Niewald had chances to tie it up early in the contest with a shot on goal but both were stopped.
