FOLEY, Ala. - Appalachian State University women's soccer suffered a 3-0 setback to No. 5 seed South Alabama in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at the Foley Sports Complex.
App's season concludes at 9-9-1 while South Alabama will move on to face the winner of Texas State and Troy in the next round.
The Mountaineers came out on the attack with three shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the contest, including a strike from Jessica Easley.
Kat Greer had two shots on goal early in the period but both were saved.
