BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's soccer (6-4-1, 3-0-0 SBC) is off to its best start in Sun Belt play since joining the conference after a 2-0 win over Coastal Carolina (4-5-1, 3-1-0 SBC) on Sunday afternoon at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
Sunday's contest was originally scheduled for Saturday in Conway, but was moved due to the unfortunate aftermath of Hurricane Florence.
"Today was about more than just soccer," head coach Sarah Strickland said. "We're here to support Coastal Carolina and to help them as far as rallying to get them home and get started again.
