REUNION, Fla. – The Appalachian State women's golf team took first place on Tuesday in the Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate carding a two-round score of 610 (+34) as they were crowned co-champions with Richmond.
After the first round the Mountaineers saw themselves holding the lead after shooting a score of 303 (+15) with a three-shot lead over the Richmond Spiders who were three shots back.
"We were glad to be in the position that we were in," head coach Heather Brown said. "We gave ourselves opportunities with our putters but were not able to capitalize on them.
