BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's basketball (9-7, 3-2 SBC ) used a dominating fourth quarter to run away with a 67-53 victory against Coastal Carolina (8-9, 0-5 SBC) on Saturday afternoon at the Holmes Center.
Madi Story scored a game-high 26 points, including 11 of her 15 points second-half points in the fourth quarter. Story shot 10-for-20 from the field with a season-high four 3-pointers and added six boards. The redshirt senior was a catalyst in holding the Sun Belt's leading scorer, DJ Williams (17.2 ppg) to just 5-of-13 shooting for 15 points.
