BOONE, N.C. – App State women's basketball rolled to an 82-49 win over Lees-McRae in the lone exhibition before the regular season.
Eleven of 12 players who got in the game scored, with three players in Maya Calder (14 pts.), Lainey Gosnell (12 pts.) and Pre Stanley (10 pts) scoring in double figures. Bayley Plummer
led the team in rebounding with 10 off the glass.
App State's defense held the visitors to just 28.3 percent shooting from the floor, while shooting 30-of-40 from the line.
The Apps were never threatened in the wire-to-wire victory, jumping out to a 17-2 lead with 2:45 left in the first quarter.
