BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's basketball head coach Angel Elderkin is excited to announce the addition of Central Florida transfer, Ashley Polacek, to the program on Tuesday. Polacek will sit out during the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Polacek, a 5-5 guard from Ottawa,Canada, played two seasons at UCF where she started in 38 of 59 appearances, including 23 of 28 games during her freshman season. In her first season with UCF, Polacek made some noise where she led all freshman and was 10th in the American Athletic Conference averaging 2.
