HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Appalachian State University baseball redshirt sophomore RHP Luke Watts received first team All-Coastal Plain League recognition as a starting pitcher after spending the summer with the Morehead City Marlins, the CPL announced on Tuesday.
Each team features 24 players: One player per each infield position, four designated hitter/utility players, five outfielders, six starting pitchers and four relief pitchers. Watts is the only student-athlete representing a Sun Belt home university on the first team, while Georgia Southern had a student-athlete make the second team.
