BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University volleyball and the fraternity of Sigma Nu teamed up to host the fifth annual High Country to Haiti Volleyball Tournament.
The tournament helps raise money for the Nehemiah Vision Ministries. 19 teams of players participated in the tournament with co-ed teams and helped raise nearly $4,000, which will assist the children of Haiti.
It brought a morning full of fun, friendly competition, good music, good food and raised awareness for those in Haiti.
“We raised the most we’ve ever had for this tournament by bringing in $4,000 for Nehemiah Vision Ministries,” said tournament coordinator Reid Rust.
