CHARLOTTE - App State women's soccer put forth a valiant effort, forcing overtime after a 2-0 deficit, but fell short to Charlotte by a score of 3-2 on Thursday evening at Transamerica Field.
Kristin Brown connected twice off two corners with Ava Dawson, who scored both of her goals thanks to a pair of headers to tie up the contest. It gives the senior a team-high three goals and the third match of her career with multiple scores. Brown leads the team with three assists on the season.
After surrendering two first-half goals and attempting only three shots, the Apps (1-3-1) were on the attack with six of their nine attempts in the second period.
