BOONE, N.C. — In Week One of the season, rookie Akeem Davis-Gaither was on the Cincinnati Bengals' active roster, making his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers.
At linebacker, Davis-Gaither made three tackles and had one QB hurry to force a third-down incompletion for the Bengals. They lost 16-13 against the Chargers at Paul Brown Stadium.
This was Davis-Gaither's first regular-season game after being drafted to the Bengals in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in April. He played 20 defensive snaps and two-thirds of the special teams snaps.
