BOONE, N.C. — Andrew Terrell's third-inning bunt triggered an offensive outburst.
The productive beginning for App State's offense followed a noteworthy start on the mound for Terrell.
Recruited as a two-way talent out of Franklin, Terrell contributed both as a pitcher and designated hitter in the Mountaineers' 14-7 home victory Tuesday against North Carolina A&T on Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.
App State (6-2) jumped ahead with a six-run third and led 9-2 after five innings before having its lead cut to 9-7 entering the bottom of the seventh.
