ARLINGTON, Texas – App State Baseball infielder Austin St. Laurent was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB Draft on Tuesday.
St. Laurent becomes the 47th App State player to be drafted by a Major League organization and the sixth in the Kermit Smith era.
A first-team All-Sun Belt selection and an all-region pick, St. Laurent capped his three-year App State career with a terrific 2024 campaign.
The Elon, N.C., native started all 55 games, slashing 366/.424/.618 with 12 doubles, 14 home runs and 60 RBIs, reaching base safely in each of his final 24 contests.
