WILMINGTON, N.C. -- App State (6-4) completed the series win for the second straight weekend, taking game four against UNCW (2-4), 7-1. The Seahawks took game three, 5-2.
Game 1
App State came out early in the first game, scoring its first run with two outs in the top of the first. Baylee Morton reached safely on a walk, followed by a bunt single from Kayt Houston. Morton was able to move to third on a throwing error by the second baseman. Mary Pierce Barnes then singled to bring in Morton and give the Mountaineers the 1-0 lead.
