GREENSBORO, N.C. – Appalachian State University softball edged out the North Carolina A&T Aggies 3-2 in extra innings on Wednesday at the Lady Aggie Softball Complex in Greensboro, N.C.
“I thought Kenzie [Longanecker] came in and closed out really well, and threw well,” said head coach Janice Savage. “ I think offensively we need to continue to figure ourselves out, be able to hit with runners in scoring positions, make better adjustments at the plate earlier and learn off of other people’s at-bats and not just from our own.”
App State improved to 5-4 after five ladies pounded out hits and three knocked in RBI to withstand the Aggies and sweep the two-game series.
